Here’s what you’ll need to whip up these delicious mini pizzas. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything on hand; I’ll share some substitution ideas along the way!
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup assorted toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Olive oil for brushing (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or a little olive oil. This keeps the crescent rolls from sticking and helps them get that golden color.
- Open the cans of crescent roll dough and unroll them. You’ll want to separate them into triangles as per the package instructions.
- Press each triangle of dough into the muffin tin cups, making sure to cover the bottom and sides well. This creates your little pizza crusts.
- In a small bowl, mix together the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. This simple blend adds a burst of flavor to your pizzas!
- Spoon a small amount of pizza sauce into each crescent roll cup, filling them about halfway.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. This is where the magic happens—melted cheese is irresistible!
- Add your favorite toppings. You can go classic with pepperoni or get creative with veggies. Each mini pizza is a chance to express your culinary flair!
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. Keep an eye on them; you want that perfect golden crust!
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin tin. You can brush a little olive oil on top for extra flavor if you like.
