Learn how to make delicious Garlic Butter Sausage Bites with Creamy Pasta. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound Italian sausage links, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Feel free to swap out the Italian sausage for chicken or turkey sausage if you prefer, and if you’re feeling adventurous, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes can add a delightful kick.

Instructions

  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until it’s al dente, according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sausage pieces and cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant. This step always takes me back to my grandmother’s kitchen, where the aroma of garlic was a constant, comforting presence.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes until it starts to thicken. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until it’s melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together to ensure the pasta is well-coated with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately. Watching my family devour this dish, chatting and sharing stories, is a reminder of why I love cooking so much.
