Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6–8 pepperoncini peppers
- Salt and pepper to taste
For those who prefer a bit more spice, feel free to add a few extra pepperoncini or a dash of cayenne pepper. If you’re out of au jus mix, a simple beef broth powder can be a good substitute.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in a large baking dish. Season them lightly with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Slice the butter into pats and arrange them over the chicken. Nestle the pepperoncini peppers among the chicken pieces.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once done, remove the foil and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
This recipe doesn’t just fill the house with an incredible aroma, but also leaves you with a sense of accomplishment that comes from serving something truly delicious. A tip from my kitchen: use the juices from the dish as a sauce over rice or mashed potatoes for an extra punch of flavor!
