Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans crescent roll dough
- 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
If you’re in a pinch, you can substitute the crescent roll dough with puff pastry for a slightly different texture, or swap out provolone for Swiss cheese for a nuttier flavor.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it flat on the prepared baking sheet. Press the seams together to form a single sheet.
- Layer the roast beef evenly over the dough, followed by the provolone cheese slices.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the cheese layer, pressing the seams together.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Brush this mixture over the top layer of crescent dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- While the squares are baking, heat the beef broth in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm.
- Once baked, let the squares cool slightly before cutting them into individual portions. Serve with warm beef broth for dipping.
