Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk (or substitute with almond milk for a dairy-free option)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (feel free to experiment with your favorite cheeses)
- 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional, for added freshness)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch pie pan or a similar-sized baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. This step always reminds me of my grandmother’s advice: “The secret to a fluffy quiche is in the whisking!”
- Add the shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the egg mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie pan. Sprinkle the chopped green onions on top if you’re using them. This little touch adds a pop of color and freshness that my family loves.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing. This resting time helps the flavors meld together beautifully.
