Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
If you’re missing an ingredient, don’t fret. You can substitute the breadcrumbs with crushed crackers, or use lime juice in place of lemon for a different citrus twist.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease a baking dish with a small amount of butter to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Pour the dry white wine over the shrimp if using.
- Spoon the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the topping is golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
As you bake this dish, you might find yourself reminiscing about your own family recipes, just as I do every time I make this casserole. It’s these moments that remind me of the power of a home-cooked meal.
